Mary is a 2nd generation Vacaville native and grew up off of Browns Valley Road. She was an active member of 4-H and competed and participated in barrel races and rodeos with her buckskin quarter horse, Trinket. She graduated from Vaca High with honors and continued on to graduate from the University of Nevada, Reno with a BS in Clinical Laboratory Science. She first decided to use that degree by working at American National Can Company as an environmental auditor/engineer.

After she married and had her daughter, she decided to stay-at-home and raise her daughter for the first few years of her life. She then decided to go back to school and become a Physician Assistant. She graduated from Touro University in 2006 with MSPAS and MPH degrees.

For over 10 years, she has worked full time in the dermatology field specializing in skin cancer.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling and exploring National and State Parks, especially in California, Hawaii, and Alaska. She also enjoys volunteering annually with her church, Shepard of The Hills, to collect and prepare Christmas gifts for the Santa Marta orphanage in Mexico.
